blown head gasket??
Situation: about six months ago I put GT40 heads onmy 71 302. I have about 600 miles on it; lately when I start it up after sitting for a long time (3-7 days) the left side pipe will produce white smoke then water runs out (about a 3" puddle)then it will stop. Last week I noticed some antifreeze on the manifold which I previously thought it was coming from the thermosat housing. The monter runs great & strong but something isn't quite right. I'm thinking the heads may be cracked or headgasket which currently I don't feel like tackling due to funds. What do you engine gurus think?
