I also had initial contact with leaf spring and the shock absorber two different times before I finally got it perfectly aligned. I was also juggling that with getting the tip angle just right. What I did was loosen all the clamps and spent some time rotating all the pipes in different increments until it finally came together. It takes a little time, but you just need to get all of them positioned just right before you tighten it back up.

All the Magnaflow tips I was looking at are weld on and they were pretty expensive (around 70-100 dollars). This tip was 30 bucks and right down the road from me. In general, I liked the tip, it was cheap, couldn't find a better deal. Don't really care too much that its an MBRP.
