Yes its amazing that they would put el-cheapo suspension parts on a 55K truck. I currently have just under 27K miles on my 2 year old truck. I noticed no pulling left or right after putting the Bilstein on. The shocks and SS were a great investment. $415 for the 5 shocks.

An update for you guys. A couple of days after my steering stabilizer install my left front caliper began to drag and had to be replaced along with the front pads and anchor clips and pins. The pull left had nothing to do with the stabilizer. Not something I would expect @ 7700 miles. I suspect it was like that since delivery because it drives better than new now with no pull and my fuel economy went up by 4 mpg. Sorry about the mis- diagnosis, I just didn't notice the pull till after the install. Ford could not tell me what happened to the caliper but at least its fixed and all under warranty.

I did the bilstein 5100 stabilizer a couple of weeks ago. My truck had the snow plow prep package and, apparently, the stabilizer was not rancho (no red boot). The new bilstein does dampen better so I get less steering shake when hitting bumps and I get no pull to the left.

I think the stock stabilizer is still okay, just not good enough to handle the unsprung weight of the 'beast'.

All in all, I'm happy with the 5100 and I do think it is more stable than before.

Ordered the Bilstein 5100 (24-196284) yesterday from Shock Warehouse. It was shipped out today. Read earlier where some were having problems finding a supplier with the 5100's in stock. As of now Shock Warehouse has them available for 78.30 and 10.13 shipping to Southeast Oklahoma.

Shock Warehouse - haven't used this site before, but it looks promising. They currently show "free shipping" on all the Bilstein 5100 series (and a lot of other stuff). Did the 10.13 you paid give you faster shipping?

Also, does anyone have tried-and-true part numbers for Bilstein 5100 series shocks for stock-height trucks? I would love to lift the truck but the garage at work barely lets me in at stock height. I definitely would like to get some of these if the improvement is as good as you guys are saying.

BTW, assuming my estimates are correct, ordering from Shock Warehouse will save me about $50 (4 shocks plus SS) over the cheapest of my local specialist stores.

The way I take it is that free shipping is for orders over 95.00. I ordered a 5100 steering stabilizer. Later I'll probably go with a set of 5100 shocks. I have driven a friends 2011 F250 that had the 5100 shocks and stabilizer. It handles the rough roads around here much better than my 2012 F250 with everything stock. The steering was a little stiffer than mine and I hardly felt any vibrations. I'll write a report after I install the stabilizer. First time I have used Shock Warehouse.

I recently replaced my stabilizer and shocks with the 5100's. At the time I ordered the stabilizer, there was a huge backorder on them. Seems like some places have them in stock now.

I ordered my shocks from eshocks.com. Great customer service and they were sent from Michigan to Boston in two days. They have a free shipping offer as well.

Wherever you order from just make sure they have them in stock.

And the ride has improved in my truck. It no longer feels like I'm bouncing all over the place after hitting a series of bumps.

Been making a list of all the shock/stabilizer online stores for future reference. This forum is the best of all the forums that I know of. I have learned a bunch here since 2004. I don't say that much but spend a lot of time reading what others have to say. I think the 5100 stabilizer will do me for right now. The other day I drove my friends 2011 250 with a new setup of 5100 shocks and stabilizer. We drove about 20 miles over the roads around here that I travel most. Right off I could feel the difference in the steering compared to my 2012 F250. Both of our 250's are equipped the same with the exception of his being a CC. Read where Oklahoma has the 3rd worst roads in the USA. After working the roads for almost 30 years as a trooper I believe it. I live 18 mi. from the dealer. Right after hitting the road home I knew the tires psi was way to high. I checked the tires about an hour after I got home. The psi was 78 in all four tires. I dropped the psi to 65 on all four. It made a little difference but not all that much. Most of my hauling is with the 24ft pontoon boat. I live 8 mi. from the boat ramp. The tongue weight isn't that much so I'll leave the psi at 65. I'll add some when the RV is hooked up. After driving my buddies 2011 250 with the Bilstein 5100's I feel sure that the new stabilizer will help a lot. More later after the install.

I was getting real bad wobbling from my steering wheel over bumps and decided to go with the bilstiens as well. Ordered 4 shocks and a stabilizer (all 5100 series). Bought from ajusa.com, as they were the cheapest and offered free shipping. Paid 78.37 each for shocks and 74.81 for the stabilizer. Shipping only took about 3 days.

The ride greatly improved over bumps and expansion joints. The truck now feels more stable and much more comfortable ride. The shocks do not make the ride rough or stiffer than OEM, just more controlled. My only gripe is I am still getting the wobble through the steering when I hit a pot hole or man hole. It is worst at hwy speeds. The truck has been to the dealer 3 times for the issue (before I installed the bilsteins) with no fix. Now i'm afraid they will not even look at the trucks wobble issue because I am running non-oem shocks. So I'm just living with the wobble (for now). Hopefully yours isn't as bad as mine and the stabilizer and/or shocks work out great.

Keep us posted...
