Depends on the Scanner you buy

the scangaugeII will read those

the SGII is great gauge is not the best code reader. But it reads so many gauges that you can see whats wrong alot of the time without a DTC

A SGII will see most every sensor on the engine so yes FICM & HPO & Turbo & Volts all those no problem ECT and EOT ect........

the AE is a step better you see everything but AE has ability to Command things on off whatever for testing purposes

If money is tight try SGII

If money no object AE with ford bundle

Stay away from EDGE scanners they do see stuff but also leave alot to be desired most get them for there tuning ability

"If money is tight try SGII

those two choices seem to be what everyone here uses.
SGII can be had at autozone for about $160, i believe.

AE is gonna be $360, but it'll read most anything that needs reading.

i just dropped the dime on the AE... everything is working well on my
6.0, and i just want a baseline of where it's all at for future reference,
and i want to see how my FICM is doing.

money is an object, but the most expensive money i've ever saved
is by throwing parts at something till it runs, 'cause i didn't take the
time to diagnose well....

WHY????? LOL the Code reader/scanner I recomended were your Best Bet

Going to have to take a Leap of Faith and trust me I wont lead you astray

If I would have recomended a Bad Brand scanner the Guys would be all over me like white on rice LOL

Innova is a Great Generic code reader but not much more

I thinking I have the same code reader the Innova works good if the CEL is on with a Generic DTC or if theres any FreezeFrame Data in there.

Iv never pulled a manufacture specific code but never had one to try yet.

SGII will give you live data so you will have better odds seeing the issue with the SGII

Ok, went and got the AE and hooked up to truck. Oil pressure on first cranking went up to 2500 than leveled out at 1752 1750 while cranking. Ficm, koeo read 48 volts started cranking dropped to 40 no start. Is this a ficm problem?? I did try another ficm from same year truck that is running good. No start on mine???

40V is either a FICM issue, or poor system voltage, or both
