when the transmission doesn't have one? They list a second cheaper one also for the manual. WTF did I buy?

I just looked that part up on NAPA's website, that's the back-up light switch, why they also have it listed as a NSS is beyond me.

Well they got me good, I saw it on the site and grabbed it. Guess it'll go on the opps parts shelf.

sage advice

double ... tripple check that you are in neutral, and block the wheels.
stand off to the side with your feet clear of the wheels.
