Push button starter???
So, here's the deal, my wife has severe rheumatoid arthritis and on her bad days she cannot turn the ignition switch on our (new to us) 01 Expedition. She can get it to the on position, but can't turn past that. Anybody have any experience with wiring in a button starter? Ideally I'd like to have it so she turns the key to on, then pushes the button to turn it over. Any help or other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

How about a remote start system with keyless entry? That way she can lock or unlock the doors and start the vehicle, all by using just the remote. Once it's started she would only have to insert the key into the ignition and turn it to ON, just like she already can.

A push-button switch would be easy to do. Just wire around the START terminals of the ignition switch.
A remote starter is a great idea but it will take a lot more skill and work to do a DIY install. Of course, they can be professionally installed by folks in that business.
