My EGT probe is in the driver side exhaust manifold. Back when I had the stock turbo though, it was pretty easy to get it to 1300-1400* towing with my stage 2's
Travis' egt is in the drivers side manifold I'm sure. Before I got this big trailer I pulled a 30' enclosed bumper trailer with extra height. My truck was stock at the time and it pulled it ok, but no speeddemon. Dad has an 01 v10 and it pulled it just about the same as mine. Both completely stock, he has 3.73's, I have 3.55's. Now with my mods I have the problem of having to back out on some hills because of the egt's. Plenty of power and the trailer is 6k heavier and 18' longer. Need a bigger turbo.

That's what my problem was with the stock turbo. It just couldn't move enough air. I'm pretty surprised at how nice it tows now.
Mine is also in the manifold. I don't know about being the 'heavy' one (I'm 200lb, LOL) around here but I defiantly want to cool the EGT's. Hopefully next winter project!! What's your 48er weigh loaded Darin?
It weighs 16k loaded (I'm only 170 ). I however do not travel near the distances you do Glenn. Gonna test out the springs today, going to Pierre for races for the weekend, me and my dog. 175 mile trip each way with some good hills. I think they even have wireless at this track so I can check in once in a while.
