I had never welded before I my life and I did mine. It takes patience over skill. ( at least to just be functional) My floors cab mounts and frame tabs were all gone. With Time and patience it's all possible. Make sure you get a good seam sealer ... Don't skimp on cheap stuff. That being said ... If I did it again I would have just found a new cab and spent the time to go get it.

Hi there, I'm new to this site and it has been very useful to me. My driver side floor pan is rusted out and time to be replaced. I'm not great at doing body work so any hints, tips, or tricks would be great. The cab support needs replaced as well.

Another thing to consider if you are not good at welding, or don't have much experience with it. The floor pans are a great place to practice, since it will all be hidden. Much better to practice here than on a wheel well, or cab corner.

Must Be Nice
Must be great to be able to find a full floor pan. I’ve spent DAYS searching the Interwebs for a full or even half-pan for my ’92 Ranger Supercab. Only found front quarter patch panels. I’m convinced that no one makes them.

Maybe the OP can answer but I have only used the Eastwood. Goes on good over the rusty parts but bare clean metal when putting it on is hard not to leave bare spots.
Oh I also brushed it on but you can spray it if you want.
