The 65 made the 130 mile round trip with no complaints. I deem it roadworthy. Just a quick shot of it on the road with the snowy North Idaho mountains in the backround.

Just noticed I left a pic of this trucks front out. I think the sign under the hood said it was in one of the Friday the 13th movies.

Do you have any more pictures of that '66 flareside?

I have a '66 myself that I will be restoring and I'm having a hard time finding good pictures of them for reference.

Ill have to check my cam chip and see. If I do I will post it in this thread. I think I may have a front or drivers side too. Truck was in very stock condition. Front bumper and radio was about all I could find and maybe a few other very minor things that are not stock on it. It was the owners grandfathers truck. Looks to have been verywell maintained.

Nice pics Vic. There were no slicks at Cruizin The Falls in Spokane except for the 66 Cummins Crew that makes the local rounds here. A couple nice Galaxies, couple older 20's-30's Fords, and the usual handful of Mustangs (half of which were late model of course). Here's the crew from another show last year and the only two trucks at Cruizin the Falls I took pictures of. There was also a mid 50's Ford panel rod I didn't get a shot of. Sounds like Sandpoint was much better.

Well Jeff maybe Ill put a cheap Earl Schiebe $49.95 paint job on the 65 and run er on down there next year. But if Sandpoint is on the same day forget about it. I do plan to have it at Wendle Ford for that one that you have in the first pic.

Here are a few more that I hadnt posted up. So many cars and trucks I just tried to stay mainly with Ford but there were a few that caught my eye that were not Ford. When you put a car or truck in the show you just dont have time to see it all. Spent alot of time answering questions about the truck and just listening to peoples stories about the 61-66 trucks their fathers and grandfathers owned and up and comming projects.

Thanks for the pic's guys.
Once we retired again; I plan on developing a across the USA cruise tour to varies towns show over a spring / summer time frame.

That would be the Power Tour, one day maybe they'll run it on the west coast.

nice pics Buzz!

The Sandpoint show is one of my all time favorite shows in the country.
The judging is actually done by judges not friends padding the vote!

A very nice amount of cars are there every year and recognize a lot of them.

Nice cruise there too.

Nice to see you finally have your truck road worthy!

No problem glad to share when I get out and about. It took just about a year to get to that point from just a pile of parts. Even a few of your reclaimed parts live on in that truck Randy. Id drive it just about anywhere now if I needed to on or offroad.

Thanks Jeff I knew it was something like that. You did a great job on the mounting of the tires. The truck went straight down the road with no problem in steering or vibrations discernable to tire balance. Great job and thanks for your help. Ill come by the shop someday so those young Toyota 4x4 guys that work there can see what a real 4x4 is made of. Something that was going on long before their trucks were even thought of. Or them for that matter.
