Spendy Seven Threes Selling in Seattle
I used the search string "7.3 powerstroke" in the Seattle craiglist this week and you'd think these things were gold-plated. Mid-to-upper 20s for the ones with under 100K miles, mid-to-upper teens for about 110K miles. Yes, they are shiny - but somebody figured out these rigs are desirable. It feels great that I got mine when I did.

I had to go to fly to vegas to get my F350 for a decent price. The X is going to the wife and this will be second VO conversion and my commuter. Its got 260 k on it and it was a work truck but like seattle CA has the same issue. I got my 99.5 lariat CC 4x4 SB for 7k plus plane ticket and fuel home. so more like 7300. It needs some minor body work and interior work but dash is great, headliner and carpet good. Motor needed an IPR and tranny needed a pan gasket. Tranny rebuilt 100k ago so we will see where that goes. Still had original Water pump so changed that. got brand new rear bench with headrests out of an 08 for 600. So far I need to still fix some of the body work, get new covers for the front seats or get new ones. At the end it will probably cost me 11k but hell its gonna have gauges, tuned, exhaust, up pipes, new seats, spray in bed liner etc oh and be on VO. Its "gonna be real nice, clark" in the end. Everyone in CA that I looked at close to the one i got was in equal or worse shape and were wanting 10 to 12 grand and I would have been doing all the mods the same.

Wow, you could never find trucks like those here in NJ. Everything here is a beater and poorly taken care of with loads of miles. I must have gotten really lucky to find my truck.
This is probably the nicest 7.3 I have found in months and is farely cheap:

Nah... it's worse. Those posts are just since September 2011. That's when I blew up my transmission and spent thousands to get the truck on the road again. I figured being uninvolved wasn't working for me.
