Please forgive me friend, here in North Carolina 3G is on my cell phone and AZ is still Arizona.

While my first response was a little tongue in cheek, I had no idea what you were referring to. See how further dialogue has you trying to blow your yellow horn with 3G.

That 3g Alt should have one , main hot (red), going to the hot side of the solenoid. Another , Yellow, wire also going to the Hot side of the solenoid. The other is a smaller wire connected to a switched hot. That is the one that tells the alt that the ign is on and time to produce power as soon as the engine is running.

That wire is one of the wires that used to go to the former v-regulator and comes from the ign switch; hot only when the switch is in the "run position".

I have the 3G wiring figured out.

I have the 3G harness of the donor, ther are only 3 wires to hook up.

1. Ground from 3G to block
2. Hot from 3G to solenoid.
3. Red/grn from 3G to red/grn off the old regulator.

I now think someone rewired the horn relay and the yellow is power from the solenoid to the horn relay.

Thats how Im going to hook everything up.

I really like what you did with the alternator bracket. You say Mr. Gasket, do you have a part number? I like that option better then finding the low mount brackets that are getting harder to get.
