THe lift came out easy but now i have this bracket attaching to what i think is called a sway bar behind the axel. Looks like this thing is supposed to have some give to it, but it's shoving the front end out of alignment to the passenger side. Can some one tell me what this arm and bracket are called so i can look up stock parts and see if I need to replace?
Just thinking off the top of my head, if I recall correctly, not all leaf sprung front suspension vehicles have track bars.. That being said it sounds like you just got a lift kit, did it come with anything to adjust this trac bar? If not then YES it will pull the whole axle to the left.. To remedy this you would need a taller drop bracket for the track bar, or an adjustable trac bar..
Can't order a new one? 97 350's are a little difficult to locate
Not too many companies making new parts for a 16 year old truck. You could try the Ford dealer to see if they have any left.... Best bet would be a junk yard or finding one somebody took off to add their lift.
