Few flywheel + clutch Q's
Few flywheel + clutch Q's
I bought some grade 8 bolts from a hardware store,
this is what ford calls for
3/8" -16 x 2 5/8
1)i was only able to find ones that were 2.5" long: are they too short?
2)when i put them into the flywheel they have some play, as in the shoulder isnt wide enough to keep the bolt self centred in the flywheel hole, are the OEM bolts specially made with a wide shoulder??
3)How do i seal the bolts? Should i put blue loctite on? teflon tape?
4)bolts go to 47 ft lbs correct?
5)what is the minimum allowable clutch thickness before it should be replaced? i have 8mm or 5/16" thickness measuring across on mine..
6)pressure plate to flywheel torque spec?
