He won't be answering the phone in a couple of weeks.

I do give him points for creativity though. Gaskets aren't lubed yet. Never heard that one before.

And FYI to Navy Squirrel, he's not your buddy if he tried to sell you that lie.

Gasket lube, now that is a great one!!!! I agree, either it works or it is not. I'm going to get the Red Head someday, but being overseas I can wait for a while.

Good timing....I have a Red Head being delivered today, and taking it to my mechanic tomorrow for the swap. I'll remind him to lube the gaskets

Replacement threads

Hey guys, I'm looking for a thread on the box replacement. Tools required, fluid capacities, etc.

Side note, dealer replaced my cps under recall, now have crack in bolt hole for cps/timing mark and stripped out threads. I was looking at my rig and thought I could possibly throw a heli coil in it and flush with a suitable fluid from the top of the timing cover, through the hoop reservoir. Seems like its a clean shot from here down over the gearing for cam shaft and crank and into oil pan to make for a nice clean shaving removal. I will post a thread abt this as well, just figured if someone had insight on this while researching their own power steering issue I may catch an otherwise blind eye. Truck now has 205k.

Thx, Alex
