Steering box question...
Hey Guys, have a question about my steering box.
My truck has 197000 miles on it (2001 4X4 crewcab) and the steering box is sloppy. Well I know that these trucks have a huge problem with the SB, so should I take it to have it adjusted or just buy a RedTop box and be done with it??
I do not know if the tierod ends are bad or not, it just feels like it is through the box, as I can move the wheel 1/8 and then it moves the tires.

There's some guys trying to put together a group buy on redhead steering boxes in the superduty 7.3 section. Might be worth looking into if you need a new box. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...group-buy.html

Thanks Chris, I just signed up and hope to hear something soon. I will get my front end checked out and find out for sure, but I have a pretty good feeling that my box is shot...
