The backrest tilting? I'm not sure, I'll investigate mine. Only recently found my fore/aft handle. I've got the school busateroal seat with at least 3 covers, all worn to the foam haha. One of the posh bench seats with the fold down arm rest in the middle Id go for. You know that newer seats and broncos will fit as well, right?
Of course they tilt forward, that's how you throw junk in behind the seat on a regular cab. But be warned regular cab bench seats are not "finished off" on the back(no vinyl). I would think a extended cab with the jump seats would have a front seat that looked good in the back so the kids would not get their clothes caught in the wire and be able to pick at the foam that is exposed in a regular cab seat.
Also keep in mind that Supercabs with stock bench seats have a split down the center of the backrest so that you can tilt each side separately of the other. On regular cab and crew cab bench seats, the entire backrest tilts.
Friend of mine back in college had a late '80's F-150 extended cab. The seat back would fold forward and inward towards center at the same time from each corner independently so you could get into the back from either the passenger or driver side. Not sure how to explain it other than that.
Never seen one like it before as all my trucks are regular cab.

There is a cardboard trim piece on some of our trucks that makes the back of the seat look relatively finished.
