Im thinkin about gettin a train horn for my 2006 f250 and i would like to install it myself in order to save money and because i like workin on my truck. how hard would this be to install? These are the diagrams
That is a very doable project. The thing you will need other than the horns are
1 a minimum of a 5 gal. pressure tank ... a 12v. compressor with a duty cycle larger than 50% (low rider car comps work just fine) some 3/8 to 1/2" plastic tubing (kind used on a semi truck) and a horn button, they come with a solenoid . after you mount the horns, make sure trash and water won't get in the open end ... get horn covers at the truck stop or chrome shop. Then TOOT AWAY !!!
Checked out your instructions ... they look just fine... except, use 3/8 or 1/2" tubing NOT 1/4" IT WILL BE MUCH L O U D E R
