352 Refresh
I have a donor 76 that has what I was told was a 390, but I cant confirm that.
Im keeping the 352, it runs well but Im going to do some upgrades.
Im going to replace all the gaskets, dizzy with a HEI unit, dual exhaust with the orginal manifolds, 3G alt, new WP.
Im wondering if I should replace the oil pump since I will have the pan off.
Will the heads off the donor engine bolt up to my 352? The donor could be a 360 or 390, I dont know if the larger bore size is compatible with my 352.
My thought is that I refresh the donor heads and swap them on when I tear the 352 apart, saves a little time, and Im afraid I will snap a bolt trying to get the exhaust manifolds off. One of the manifolds is warped so Im blasting the donor manifolds and useing them.
Bore is 4.00 on the 352 and 4.05 on the 360 390
stroke is 3.50 for the 352 360 and 3.78 for the 390. A 360 is a 390 with a 352 crank.
If you have a 360 all it needs to be a 390 is a 390 crank rods and pistons.
The 76 block should be a reverse 105, which is the better builder block.
All the heads will interchange. The 76 will already have hardened exhaust seats.
