I still have not been able to replace the clutch shaft on my 1955 f100. I am having a guy come over next week and cut it off with a torch. Here is my questions.
1 On the transmission side there is a fitting for a better word that is held on by a roll pin. Also there is a spring connected to it. Does anyone know if they make a reproduction of the fitting and the spring?
2 I really just need the spring because it will be in the way when the guy cuts off the shaft. But I am planning for the worst and hope for the best.
3 once the shaft is cutoff on the trans side it should slide out on the drivers side correct.
4 If the guy cuts it off should I have him super heat the fitting off the shaft to see if i can knock out the pin? Or take it to a machine shop and have them drill it out?
Thanks for any information and help on this. It bites that these small parts are holding me up.

Mid fifty has it all.
If u cut the shaft before the pin, why bother trying to remove it?
I agree with its not worth it to try and drive out pin. But its like a itch you just gotta scratch. I called midfiftys up and the lady who knows all the stuff is in texas. So I have to call back on Monday. Do you know the name of the fitting at the end of the clutch shaft?
well i finally got the clutch shaft off. i thought the shaft was hardened steel. but it was regular steel. so i cut it off with my trusty sawzall. now i am going to try and knock out the clutch pin. if not i will take to welding shop and have them heat it up and punch out the bolt.
