Whats my next move?

I am hoping to get some help/advise on my next thing to do to my truck and the priority.

My mods to date are 4 inch turbo back exhaust, coolant filter, bypass oil filter, scangauge II and real gauges (egt, boost, fuel pres)

My current concern is the difference between my EOT and ECT. around town the EOT is about 10 degrees higher, at 70mph (2,100 rpms) the EOT is about 13-15 degrees higher and pulling a roughly 10,000 pound trailer at 65 mph my eot was 21 degrees higher. Also my fuel pres sits at 48/49 at idle and drops to 44 and WOT.

So i am assuming i need to rebuild my oil cooler. How urgent is this if I dont tow with my truck? Also do i need to do the blue spring upgrade (i have it already)?

Is it possible for me to get everthing done in one weekend (complete coolant flush, rebuild/replace oil cooler, egr delete and blue spring and bango bolt upgrade)?

my off topic question is how often should I change my bypass oil filter?

Thanks any advis on this would be great!

Yes. If you know how to wrench on your truck pretty good you can do flush. Oil cooler. EGR cooler delete. Blue fuel spring in a weekend.

With your fuel pressure in the 40's. I would go ahead an do it now. It's a lil tougher but it's doable with your truck all together. I did mine after I had mine all back together.

I'm not sure of the difference. But I took my banjo bolt an a small pair of snap ring pliers an took the checkball out of them.

Ok thanks, I have done a decent ammount of work on trucks (mostly gassers) and alot of work on tractors so i dont think it will be too difficult for me, but i am new to workin on the 6.0s.

I was also thinking should i clean/rebuild the turbo and upgrade those oil lines? or is that somethin that is easy do do down the line? I am at 97k on the truck.

If it truck doesn't have the updated turbo drain tube. I wood do it at oil cooler rebuild time. My truck has 155,000 an I didn't clean my turbo or do the updated turbo oil feed line. An mine runs fine.

Turbo oil feed line can be done at anytime. It's easy to get to. An if you have wrenched on gassers an tractors a good bit. You will do fine with your 6.0L. All I have ever wrenched on was Chevy gassers an I tore mine 6.0L apart an did headgaskets an ARP studs.

Words of advice.
When you pull your oil cooler out. Have you a dam of rags built up behind it to catch all the oil that will come out.

Also. While you have it apart. You may want to pop out your EGR valve an clean it.
Look inside your intake an see how much black gue is in it. An would be a great time to a CCV reroute.

With yur deltas you may want to consider a good highway flush with VC-9. Some have had luck lowerin the delta. Here's a thread for thought.

EGR cooler delete ok. But leave the EGR valve in place an plugged in. Then get a SCT tuner to turn if off. If you totally delete the valve. It affects the operation of your fan.

If u don't already have the delete kit. May want to look into a BPD EGR cooler. Never have to worry about it again. It has a lifetime warranty on it.

Cool.
Sounds like you have done a lot of homework an reading about these motors.

Only other thing left will be ARP studs. Standpipes & dummy plugs. STC fitting, which could be done now or later.

Your well on the road to having a long lasting an happy 6.0L.
