Trouble..7.3
Allright thought i would post an update.... The girl is up and running. Needless to say it wasn't a quick fix. Glow plug relay, cam sensor, glow plugs, 4 injectors - (story behind this)fuel system flush, all fluids and filters. I will say the truck is running better than ever, so much for being toast. The guy i usually take it to fixed it up, he has been working on diesels for 25 years and his partner is an old retired international boy. I did'nt take it there first off because he said he was swamped and i wanted it fixed right away.
As for the other guy, he swore that the engine was gone. Well we found out that when the first guy was testing the fuel he removed the fuel filter and kept trying to start it with it out. unfortunately my guy said it more than likely would not have taken much to get it going but once he discovered the injectors were bad, well new ball game. the guy that fixed my truck is a gem, I am kicking myself for being in a rush and wandering looking for a quick fix. It wasn't cheap, but she purrs like no tomorrow and although it was an unexpected expense i am very happy to get my truck back and very happy the way she is running. In fact he tested everything out and all is great with the truck, power has never been better. runs smooth and sound great. I guess she just needed a little attention for all the hard work it has given me.
A little extra 7.3 talk. The two guys chuckled when they told me how many trucks have came in that were suppose to be dead, everyone left, and they are all still running.
Thanks to all the insight and help guys, i only wished i knew and could do some of it myself, but alls well and my guy mad me a happy ford boy ....going out just to listen to her run
Cheers!
