Idle problems
Hey all I have a 95 f250 4x4 obs 7.3l that has a ruff idle and a shimmy when it goes into overdrive (45mph) when it gets above 50 or below 40 it seems to run fine . the truck has 315,000 miles on it. I have had it to ford and a diesel shop the best I got from them was to replace the motor in the last yr I have replaced the uvch ,glow plugs and controller. Have just replaced the EBP Sensor. I get 17mpg in town and 20 on the hwy empty just cant believe it would be the engine. Any idea’s ???

Have you had any work on the injectors? 300k they are more than likely due if you haven't. Does it smoke at all?

Yea would need a scan tool that can see live data or build a 5000psi gauge setup to hook to the head so you can see what the pressure is doing

A couple tests to give us an idea if your injector orings are ok.
When is the last time you changed the fuel filter? How did it look?
If you leave it in neutral and free rev it to 3k, does it stumble bad?
