thermostat?
gents i bought a new thermostat for my lead sled this morning and it came with a seal around the flange and a seal on the body of the thermostat like in this picture do i disguard these seals ? its the stat on the left murray..... List: Thermostats - 1990 Ford F-250 | O'Reilly Auto Parts

Everyone on this site reccommends to use only the Motorcraft or International OEM replacement stat. There are some threads pertaining to why on here. I would do some reading up on it first. IIRC my Motorcraft stat had only one gasket.

was the gasket around the body or flange?

I just did mine with a motorcraft one. the stat sits in a little gooved out part and it comes with a cardbord gasket that seals the 2 T stat housing together
