I am looking for any and all correct pieces of chrome for my 1951 F1 project truck. This is my second project and I am having a very hard time finding these pieces. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

 

There wasn't a lot of "chrome" on these trucks. The only chrome was on the front hood piece, the ash tray trim and the glove box trim. The rest of the "chrome" was polished stainless steel. Oh, the 5 Star Extra Cab trucks did have chromed vent/wing window frames and hood molding arrows.

So, what exactly do you need? I have a lot of parts for these trucks and can likely help you find most or everything you need. Please email me at modelking2000 at hotmail dot com.

I am looking for the right side spear piece and the front hood chrome. Mine were stolen, luckily the left side and all interior was saved.

I am in Utah, just outside of Salt Lake.

 

I have the front piece, but not the side molding. Email me if you're interested. Another FTE member, by the name of jmadsen, is in Utah and should have the side molding.

There are others on here that should have spare moldings. Maybe Dale, "arrowheadfred", has them?

I have a complete set of 51 F-1 5 star extra cab hood trim and the nose piece for the front.

 

I have the side spears for a 51 reg. and 52 fivestar trim also. THIS IS NOT A AD MORRIS. LOL I am lucky to still have my mom this mothers day and to all that don't i send my blessings in remembering all the moms that raised a old ford loving child. Happy mothers day to all the moms on FTE !!!!!!

 

how much are you asking for the 52 trim?

 

I have complete 52 5 Star trims too, but I'll let Dale take the lead since he was first.

Thanks for thinking of me Ilya, I dont have any 51 hood nose chrome. maybe i have an extra 51 f1 hood side trim but would have to go dig through the pile to double check.

have you checked McBrides salvage in grantsville? seems like he may have had a truck or two of that era?

Thanks Josh. No I haven't checked McBrides in a long time. He really thinned out his cars and I haven't gone in there since. I'll have to check with him again.

 

Josh, I have the front molding and you may have the side molding. This is team work on FTE at its finest.

Sounds like you will be needing your clips. I'll send you all the clips that you sent me and the new ones that I gathered. I've been waiting for the 48-50 Hood Front "U" shaped molding clips (AV11409). They have not been coming in to MB&F. Sid found out that they have been discontinued.

We have everything else though. I'll try to get these out today.
