well i found out today that my mechanic sold some parts off my truck and that im not the first person hes screwed over, needless to say im going up there in the morning with the guy that bought my injector pump ( who i happen to know) and the sheriffs to get my truck back and press charges.
well went up there today with the police to try to get everything sorted out, the motor he droped in has a really bad miss and is blowing blue smoke but he swears thats just cause its built, hes saying i still owe him close to a grand and he wont give me my old engine that had the broken flywheel, also he said hes gonna take me to court... no idea what for best part of today was the police officer saying that something needs to happen to get the guy shut down cause hes nothing but trouble, made my day.
He's full of it. Keep us posted to what you do. He has to give you the old motor onless theres a core charge somewhere. File on him quick so he can't send it back if theres a core.
running a business like that is not only a disgrace to oneself, but to their entire family.
he may think dishonesty is paying his bills, but it's only a temporary illusion.
good luck to ya Trykbos.warn all your friends and family about him.
LEGALLY you are entitled to ALL old parts that were replaced on your vehicle. unless of course it was a core charge situation. it does not matter what type of part or how significant or insignificant it is. my teacher in school was just telling me yesterday that we HAVE to keep ALL old parts until the project is done and once the customer is "satisfied" with the work. (we are doing a head gasket on a lab car right now)
x3,4,5,6 or whatever it is...legally your entitled to it, as an accounting student....i bet his books are inflated and everything...sounds like a nightmare for his accoutant lol.
Wow in some places he would not get away with that. There are far worse thing that happen than getting punched out for stuff like that. People even go after family for stuff like that. I by know means am condoning that type of action. I am just saying that it happens. But anyway karma is a b!tch. I definitely hope that guy gets shut down and sued by a lot of people.
Also your friend might be able to sure him too for selling him stolen property to get his money back since you get the pump back. Two people going after him in court is better than one...
there is quite a few people that are suing him over alot of different stuff, one thing we found out from the court is that they can award us money but cant make him give it to us,i have a meeting with him tuesday and am going to try to make it a win win for both of us, what im going to end up doing is just paying him what he says i owe just so i can get my truck out because its been 8 months and i need it back something bad ive been having to borrow trucks from one of my friends which i dont like doing.
You shouldnt owe him a dime...and he should give you the parts back....no questions asked...there is no if ands or buts about it, thats a win-lose, with you losing....
