Front end - Explorer 1997
I experiencing severe restriction and bad banging when turning at 3/4 to full turn at a slow speed within the front end. Has anyone input on the cause? It's 1997 Explorer 4.0.

Front end - Explorer 1997
I had to have my front drive shaft replaced the day before my wedding with the same symptoms. I've got a '97 V8 AWD with 90,000 miles on it. It just went one day and couldn't be driven. My wife thought she "put too much stuff in it". <g> It cost me about $500 to have it done at the local shop. The part was actually most of the cost, and I didn't have time to worry about shopping 1 day before I was getting married!
