I want to get a F5 chip for my truck, but it got broken into a few months back and my programmer was stolen with an 80hp tune burned onto my pcm, is there a way to return it to stock other than using the programmer? or will the chip override the tune when in a lower performance setting?

Mixing tunes... ooo... that can't be good. The F5 will override much of the PCM tune, but I don't know about the whole enchilada. The two tunes might try to duke it out and it could feasibly cause real harm. I wouldn't experiment with my block at stake, I'd see if I could find someone nearby with the same programmer and return the PCM to stock.
Diane, Jody, and James at DP Tune are better suited to have the difinitive answer.
You will have to take your truck to the dealer to have the PCM flashed to stock if you want a stock tune. Otherwise the chip will override what is on the PCM now.
Will not cause any harm to just throw a chip on there.
As Joe said. The chip will override the programming on the PCM. And the only way you're going to see a stock tune on that PCM is to visit the dealer (but if you're getting a chip, why bother with a stock tune?)

Okay, so the tunes from the chip won't be"stacked" with what's already on my pcm?
I have the same on my PCM, chip flashed with no unit to return to stock from previous owner.
I got a DP and my tunes override it with NO problems. And, my DP came with a free Stock tune in position 1. Don't sweat it.
