Question Water Pump

My '02 EB Expy has 133K miles on it. Do you think the water pump is due for changing? Is this a big job? What degree of difficulty is it? Thanks

My water pump started to rattle around 150k and I changed it then. At 133k it's not such a bad idea to change, especially if you take longer trips out of town and don't want to get caught then.
It's also time to replace your serpentine belt if not already done by now. Spend a little extra and buy the good belt. Napa runs around 50 bucks.
There's plenty of room to work on and it's really a pretty simply process. A couple of hours at best.

Expy water pump R & R

Did my '98 this week in 1.5hrs. Only hard part was getting the old pump out of the block. Had to use a small crow bar to pry it out. Be careful not to punch a hole in your radiator if you need to use a crow bar. It wasnt leaking, but after 14 years and 140,000 miles i didn't want to push it.
