So after discovering oil covering the hot side of my upper CAC boot, AND a spritz of oil on the underside of the hood above the boot, I decided to change them out. Purchased a set of hot side boots from RiffRaff (fast shipping and question response BTW) and slapped them on the other day. My only observation is that the stock boots have a raised groove that fits into the groove of the CAC receiver and the new RiffRaff boots don't. Any cause for concern here?
Their design is different. I've had no problems, and no more oil since I put them on last summer. Awesome price too, can't beat them as far as I'm concerned.
i put riffraff boots on my dads 05 last fall. no problems at all. very pleased.
When my stock ones i have start seeping, im buying riffraff for it also.
We actually omitted the grooves on purpose after testing because they didn't allow for varying position installations of the boots. Let us know if you have any questions we can help with.
