Oil Pan Question
AND FOR A FACT, ITS THE SAME DAMN PAN. Just because the stupid part number is different doesnt mean the pan physically IS. Maybe they change the type of rivets? Maybe the sheet material was thicker? Maybe the dipstick hole was plugged or made of different material. Physically the same. I know because I put my HANDS on it.
mnewbolds- I still prefer the cork and rubber ends. Small dabs/beads of 3Ms super weatherstrip adhesive at the areas where the cork and rubber joins is all ive ever done and I dont have any leak issues. One-piece gaskets are nice but rubber does get hard faster than cork and I prefer the cork on the pan rails.
