Finally got around to looking at my starting problem...It would start and run for about 5 seconds then spit and sputtter and die...After everybody who helped and said there was air intrusion...you guys were right...I never could see any visible leaks I checked over and over...I finally pressurized the fuel lines and found the rubber hoses on top of both tanks were leaking....Put new hoses and clamps....she runs and starts like a dream....Just thought I would let you know....Thanks everybody for your help...it saved me a lot of money!
Nice! Out of curiousity, how did you go about pressurizing the system?
Mike
Not sure how Smith did it put I use an air hose and a rag wrapped around it at the fuel fill to lightly put pressure in the tank to force fuel thru the system. This works well to also purge the air out of lines after being ran out of fuel.
Just have to be carfull to just give it enough to light swell the tank, to much and you can do damage.
