Our diesel fuel system does not retain fuel pressure......it is an open circuit back to the tank(s) It is a closed loop as far as any air intrusion.....there should be no air holes/leaks or fuel drain off will occur. There would be hard starts or starts with stalling and major cranking required to re prime the IP if there is drain off.
Since I'm new to idi, and not a mechanic by any means, I'll just tell ya'll my problem.
When I start the truck after it's been sitting for several hours, it takes 15-20 secs. to fire up. If it's only been an hour or so it starts perfectly.
So, if there are any opinions I'd take 'em.
