'46 door latch connection

Hi Guys,
By what mechanism is the outside door handle attached to the latch? Pictured is an in-side-the-door view of the stuck handle and also a picture of the handle I removed from the other door (but don't recall how it was released.) I notice that the restored handle's shaft is cut in such a way that a clip might have fastened it.
What do I need to remove in order to release the handle?

Thanks,

Yes, it's a Flattie, running well enough; starts slow after long rests; the bed is restored but there's no point in re-installing it until painting the cab.

Nice video. There is nothing better than the maiden voyage, it kinda justifies all of the headaches.

Back to your door handle. The rounded portion allows the bar to spin in the frame of the lock mechansim. The center of the lock (part that twists) has the untouched bar portion of the handle stem. The center of the bar and the outside of the mech. need to be aligned to pull out the handle. There are no clips. Only the outside door handle screws hold it in place.
Just slightly rotate the handle and keep pulling (sometimes they rust a little and you need some "weasel pea" (WD40, etc.).

If you purchase new handles, keep the old ones, because the rounded portion and overall length are year specific, but the handles sold are not.
