I am Purchasing a F350 Regularcab, DRW, Chasis Cab, 4x2. I am going with the V10. What are the Stock horsepower, and torque for this engine. Can anyone privide me with more information about this engine. Also will the 4.30 gears affect Street Performance. I will pull heavy loads ocasionally, but mostly it will be a round bale of hay, or a small tractor. What should I go with. I cant afford the Diesel.
Monsta is right on the 4.30s. If I was buying it over I'd opt for the 4.30 axle but the 3.73 setup works fine for me since the trailer only weighs 5500lbs at most. Supposedly the mileage is a little higher with 3.73s.
The only downside is the mileage but compared to other pickups this size/weight it's still better than average. I've just turned 9400 miles on mine and not a complaint or problem with my V10 at all.
They told me that I can choose between 3.73, 4.10, or 4.30 gears. My dad has 4.10 gears in his truck (4x4), but it seems too low geared to me. Are the 4.10s the way to go, or stick with the 4.30's.

You cannot get 4.10s with a V10. "They" are wrong.
I called the dealership, asked himProfanity Removed, on the 4.10 issues. Well he sounded shocked that I corrected him, but we are on the right sheet of music now. The SRW comes in only a 3.73, while the DRW you have the option of 3.73, or 4.30. Well thanks for clearing that up for me.
I am running the 4.30 gears in mine, and they have never seemed too low, even out on the interstate. You really wont run many more revs at cruise speed than you will with the 3.73s, but you will DEFINITELY feel a difference on the bottom end, especially with a trailer on the back.
I currently have a 2000 SD S/C LB 4X4 with a V-10 and 4.30 LS, I love the power and torque especially when pulling my car to the races. I don't have any problems merging into traffic or getting out of any emergency situation if any presents themselves. Granted I am not pulling that much weight, but I still think that it was the best choice. My new truck on order has the very same set-up. As for RPM's doing 70 I turn about 2500. Twice I have taken it to eastern Tennessee for vacation and gotten almost 16mpg out of it. Not bad for something with that much power and weighing in at around 6500 lbs.
Ok, I might have messed up I got a f 250 super duty v10 373 gears. I will be pulling 5000 to 9000 lbs. fully loaded. I should have went with 430s any ideas on extra ponies , it has only 7000 miles on it .
