Frame flex

Ok gentleman here it goes. As far as frame flex is it not to advantage. My reasoning behind this is Class 8 (semis) are not boxed, but channel frame! If fully boxed frames were put on class 6-8 trucks they would break and crack, so in the interest of frame reliabilty is it not better to have flex for torsional stress' as well as longitudinal frame stability? Just an honest question!
