I don't know.

The book Kevin & I have is the Ford 1980/1989 Light Truck Parts Catalog (available on CD from hipoparts.com) and doesn't cover cars. This is the same book the parts guys at any Ford/Lincoln/Mercury dealer will use when you stroll into there and ask for a widget for your 1980/89 truck.

All I can sometimes tell you from the book is what came with what out of the factory (not always, it depends). I have -0- personal experience with a C4 and don't know what it can connect to.

check out this page I found. It's for 70's trucks but very helpful

1973-1979 Ford Truck/Van Automatic Transmission Application Chart - FORDification.net

As expected....the C4 was not used in anything bigger then the 302. Was surprised to see it was used in the F250's though

so judging from that link you just sent me. they only used c6's on those and for pretty much everything else. lol

Pretty much, yes.

I had an FMX in my 1970 Mustang with a 351W and never had any problems with it.

BTW..... What you might find around here is many people are not going to bother reading your questions (or responding) because of the way you're writing. Proper grammar and punctuation and capitalization go a long way in reaching out to other people on the Internet, this place is no exception.

I do knot kare how you right... he he... I do care about what you did with the column for your truck since you are changing ...... my 1981 needs the shifter collar and they are not available anymore it seems. I need for a three on the tree which I believe you said in a thread , is what you have. I do have other extra parts that might help someone though. Please let me know if your steering column is being changed and you do not need it. Thank you very much and good luck with your build.
