for all you people that say Flowmaster sounds like crap and cant get close to a mustang sound listen to mine i think it sounds pretty damn goood and close to a mustang 40 series street muffler by Flowmaster and fac piping with a thermal tip
you can get it to sound like that with about 5 different mufflers. I have a 3" 2 chamber flowmaster and a 3.5" spintech that sound exactly the same, in fact, it will only be a little louder with no muffler at all. It sounds OK, but it ain't no V8. The only different sound i've heard is a gibson set-up, and it's just OK too.
Each to his own I guess, but I cant figure out why some of you guys are hell bent on getting your V10 to sound like the V8 in every little souped up mustang on the planet. Same goes for Camaros and TAs also. Seems like every time I see one, it sounds the same. Truthfully, it is getting boring to hear that same sound time after time. People who see a truck with a PSD instantly know it is a diesel, dont even have to look. Same goes for a truck with a V8. Both have been around for years. Now when someone hears my truck and I tell them it is a V10 (if they didnt see the emblems) the typical responses I get are "Damn, a V10? That's badass!! Or, "A V10? Never seen one, can I look under the hood?" If you want your truck to sound like a V8, get a V8. the V10 is NEVER going to sound like one, because it ISNT one! Why spend over $1000 on the newest high zoot boogy exhaust system just to try and get your truck to sound like something else? The V10 is different, and I want everyone who I pull up next to to look when they hear that different sound, and see those V10 emblems. That's just part of owning a V10 as far as I am concerned. And whoever said that the V10 with good mufflers sounds like a rabid V6 has obviously never heard an actual V6 with pipes on it. they sound NOTHING alike!

why would anybody want a flowmaster on a real truck? I admit they sound real good on little toy cars like my daughters ram air trans am but the sound that i do like on my v10 is magnaflow muffler only
Anyone have a clip from a V10 with Magnaflows? I am thinking of going with one for towing my RV. I need a quiet truck so the kids can hear the tv inside!
