need to replace my shifter Whacha-ma-call-it.
I'm trying to find a thread where someone has replaced the imitation leather flexible material at the base of the gear shift handle on the steering column. Impossible when I don't know what the heck its called. Anyone replaced this thingy? Or know of a thread where someone has??? Thanks

I replaced my entire gearshift lever recently and the vinyl watcha-ma-call-it boot was part of the new shift lever. I don't see it listed as a separate part in the workshop manual exploded diagram, but I woud imagine you would remove the gearshift lever, swap the boot and reinstall. Mine was pretty easy, took about a half hour.
