I recently purchased and installed a Tony Wildman 6 position chip and absolutely LOVE it! I am blown away at how my truck performs while towing and cruising around town. My question to anyone who has/had a chip is What were the differences between the econo/daily settings and the light/heavy tow settings. I can feel a difference between the light/heavy tow but not as much between the econo/daily settings. Does anyone have any suggestions on the best way to use the different settings?
Your economy setting should give you a nice crisp petal to get you up to speeds faster and efficently. As far as the daily setting goes..... I have no idea I have a DP, call Tony and ask or email them.
As far as tow tunes go the more your towing the less your HP levels will be at. For instance if you tried towing 15000 pounds in an 80 economy tune your EGTs would go threw the roof. You would want to be in a low tow tune like 40T, it changes the shift parameters timing and fueling strategies.
Hopefully that helps you out a little
