Limp Home Mode???

Well just took our first trip in our new to us 2006 F250 Lariat towing our 3 horse gooseneck trailer.
We made it 130 miles to our destination and 100 miles back.
When climbing a hill, suddenly lost power and the "Wrench" came on.
We truly limped home with quite a pucker factor, and when I tried to read my ScanGauge 2, "NO CODES"!
The temp gauge on the ScanGauge never went over 200 degrees.
The dealer had replaced the oil cooler and 3 injectors before I bought it and the EGR valve had been replaced twice prior according to the OASIS Report.
I can't tell you how uncomfortable it is when you are praying that the truck doesn't grenade with 3 horses on board.
I will be calling the dealer first thing Monday morning but for now any thoughts?
Greatly appreciated,

But the SGII will get a Ton of Gauges so will work threw them and see what pops up

Not Many Code readers out there will read wrench codes these type of codes are more dealer specific

Alot do CEL codes

Either have to have IDS or Auto Enginuity with the Ford Bundle is the Best for Home mechanic

The SGII is still a great tool Because you can program so many gauges into it and check things that way

Also program these codes into the SGII tomorrow

FMP FICM Main Power (Volts) (Should be 47-48) TXD: 07E02209D0 RXF: 0462450906D0 RXD: 3010 MTH: 0064010000000 NAM: FMP

PSI Manifold Absolute Pressure TXD: 07E0221440 RXF: 046285140640 RXD: 3010 MTH: 012203200000 NAM: PSI

EBP Exhaust Back Pressure TXD: 07E0221445 RXF: 046285140645 RXD: 3010 MTH: 001D00500000 NAM: EBP

I need to find BARO code to so if anyone has it Post Please and thanks

Dont feel Bad about that SGII for the 160.00 it Pretty well covers the engine and some of the trans.
Just need to get the SGII Programmed and know what to watch for

The scan gauge is a must on these 6.0s to watch and monitor all your motors vital parameters.

Wha exactly happened? The wrench light came on and you assumed it went into limp mode or there was a noticeable difference?

Exactly^^^^^^^^ Just 1 catch its got to be programmed

Also its not 100% chance even seeing all the PIDS will show you the problem BUT you will be able to rule stuff out at a minimum

The Boost was approximately high 20's as far as I could tell on the dash gauge.
No smoke.

Might want to check the connection on the VGT control valve (turbo) - even though you said it had boost. Make sure it is fully plugged-in.

Dealer read the code and it was the turbo that caused the problem. Sooted up and in need of cleaning. They are going to service the turbo, clean the EGR valve and check ohter serviceable components.
I have another trip to Vermont this weekend and I will keep my fingers crossed.
Thank you all for all your help!!!

Limp mode huh???

If I do not drink as much when out, I do not get "limp mode"

That's my only solution... at least the 6.0L has a mode... limp for me is a bad thing if you know what I mean!!!

Hi
Sorry for the slight hi-jack

Question about code scanners Will the Snap-on MT2500 read
the wrench codes along with other things?
Mine has the CAN adaptor and the 2 sets of keys needed for this truck.
Or is there a better one that does not cost what the truck costs?
Thanks
Sean
