I'm looking on recommendation at a DayStar leveling kit for my '09 F-150 screw 4x4. My friend has way more experience with Ford 4x4's than I do. Any pros or cons? Any other brands to be suggested?
I'm looking at having this installed in the near term, but waiting on tires and wheels 'till the current set of feet are in need of repair. Then it might be that I go ahead and get a set of wheels as well to make it look a little better than I think it already does.
They look almost identical to Autospring, or any other spacer that bolts on to the top of the strut. If you need shocks, then Bilstein lift shocks are probably cheaper than spacers+new stock shocks. (at least back on the 03-07s that I've worked on) around 2" with a spacer is where your upper control arm angle will really suck and might start contacting the coils, so you have to decide to either stay in the 1-2" "leveling kit" range, or to pony up for a 4" lift kit with taller replacement knuckles.
