Installing ladder bars

Installing ladder bars
Any one know the right way to install ladder bars? Do you just bolt up and go. Or do you have to unloosen the U-bolts for the Leafs.Any input would help. Also the truck in my sig is what there going on. And there L&L ladder bars

Can you post a pic of them? It depends on how/where they bolt to the axle.

They bolt from the back off the axle with u bolts

I found a pic, are these the ones? looks like they bolt just inboard of the spring pearch, no need to touch the u bolts over the springs.

Well got them installed today, they helped alot as far as rear end bounce, didn't break anything either this time.

If they just bolt around the axle tube there, how do they keep the axle from twisting? Wouldn't it just rotate within the mount there?

I'm just taking a guess here, but its mounted to the frame as well so if its mounted from axle to frame, the frame won't rotate so that should hold it. Not sure if that makes sense or anything but thats my guess.

I think Evan is talking about it rotating in the u bolt where it bolts around the axel

Yes Mike, that's what I'm trying to ask. If it's just u-bolted around the axle then what's stopping it from rotating?
