What axle is in the F-Superduty? Is it a Dana 80?

Yeah, the F-SDs have a D80 axle, and a trans mounted driveline park brake.

I think all of them were 2 wheel drive too, I have a disk brake setup to put on my crew cab, but I will loose my parking brake unless I install a line lock, not something I want to do. I'm guessing the trans mounted brake isn't adaptable to mount on the back of a trans case?

You do not want the black bird brakes. I head more BAD than GOOD about them.
Like they use a CAR caliper and it it is going on a Truck

Dont recall what it used for a caliper but its pretty good sized. pretty close to the same size as the D50 just a single piston VS a dual on the D50. I rarely ever tow anything crazy heavy so braking capacity isnt a huge concern of mine.

If braking capacity is NOT a concern, I have to ask what would be the advantage of converting to discs? Just to be able to say you have disc brakes all around?

Disc brakes clean them selves out if 4 wheeling. Other than that I dont see one advantage of ANY disc brake conversion over Properly adjusted drums

It was all of 5 years ago when I bought the kit, my '97 had bad rear brakes at that time, so I was gunna put them on it. Well now that truck is retired, the rears on my reg cab are just fine, so I figured i would put em on the crew cab, they are starting to get grabby already so something is wrong in there.

I'm a lil confused as to what your asking, are you looking for parts or looking for someone who has one Installed on their truck? As far as i know they were only on the F-Superduty's and there isn't many guys on here with that truck.
