I hooked up a boost gauge and had low boost. I then hooked up a cap to pressurize my intake system and found a leak coming from the passenger side boot on the lower intake Y pipe.
I'll probably end up taking the Y-pipe/manifold off to replace the boots, what else should I do while I'm in there? Anything that typically fails and is easier to access during the boot replacement is the type of input I'm looking for.
Hey John,once you replace those boots to a better quality boot you can rest at ease.If your uppipes are good you should be in great shape.

X-2 0n Clays plenum inserts. Get 4 t-bolt clamps from him also, they hold a lot better than the the ones that are on there now. Not much $ and easy to do.
When I swapped my turbo I put the plenum inserts and I could tell right away I was glad the guys here talked me into buying them! I also got carried away and polished the inside of my intake while I had it out
