Next Mod questions

Getting ready to upgrade my transmission from the early job 1 set up to the job 2 set up and just want to make sure I'm on the right track.
1) New job 2 pan (deeper to accommodate the filter)
2) Internal filter element
3) Gasket
3) Fluid
The last item is the trans lines, I've read that to replace the lines I have to loosen the motor mounts and lift the engine about 2 inches to get to the cooler hose fittings,,,,rather not do that if possible.
Is there a better way? Could I not Cut the line before and after the external filter and splice in either a braided line and fittings or just use transmission cooler hose and clamps in place of the external filter?
Thanks in advance for all your advice.
I've got some pics of my current mods in my gallery now.

I'm gonna be servicing my tranny shortly and I'm doing a high capacity Mag-Hytec pan and DieselSite remote tranny fluid filter bypass system and likely going to AMSOIL it (as long as they have the proper fluid equivalent). Something to consider since you're gonna be spending the money anyway...

Thanks Ronin, your right , if I'm spending the cash anyways, may as well go all the way.

why not just use the ford fluid? I wouldn't use Amsoil.......their oil isn't API certified, I'm sure the Trannie fluid isn't right for the Torqshift.

I hadn't checked yet, and unless something else has the exact spec I'll use the Motorcraft...
