My first PS

Bought a 2000 F-350 dually with a 6 speed a while back. 217,000 miles. Back door deal at a dealership because it didn't run. A friend is a tech there so we work on it nights. They let us check it over and pull compression before I pulled the trigger on it. Had about 300 straight across. So we replaced the easy bank of injectors with known good used ones. It fired up and ran and the cylinder kill told us there were 3 more bad on the other side. Tonight we put the other 4 in and I bring it home. Since it was traded in as a cab and chassis I still need a bed, 11-12 footer, she's a long one. I'm in it 2 grand at this point.
This is my first PS, except for a rather lethargic 97 I had as a company truck a few years ago.

300psi is pretty low, but depending on elevation and temperature is probably ok.

Nice deal though

Pretty good deal to be in it $2k, and considering how pricey injectors are to have an entire rig with "newish" good injectors is a decent deal. I paid $4k for my current truck 4 years ago because it wouldn't start either, new IPR and I was on my way.

If you haven't already, spend some time in the 1999 - 2003 7.3L Power Stroke Diesel - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums lots of great people and info.

Just got it home a bit ago. It runs out pretty good, well in the rain without a bed it's hard to say but it runs smooth and pulls good.

2wd. Basic white cheapo model with crank windows and rubber floor mat. I'm on the hunt now for 11-12 foot bed. Have one found but he wants $1000 and that's a little out of my budget right now. Other than that, it's about ready for back tires, needs a seat and a headlight ****. I can't wait to get it hooked to a load and see how it pulls.

You will need well over 10,000 lb trailer to notice you are pulling something.
Congratulations.
