i usally go to safeway or chevron but this time safeway = worst gas ever now.

i just finished my engine and carb rebuild. filled up at velaro..its the closest station to my house. filled up..got a few miles away,started running like crap..wouldnt die but ran like it was only on 3 cylinders..backfiring.very little thottle control.. then as fast as it happened.. it cleared up.... drove 22 more miles.. it farted at highway speed..barely made it off the highway.. finally died at my work. 2 days of tinkering with it and its still here. i get it to run.. then it will run like crap. im thinking of dropping the gas and refiling but gas aint cheap at 4$ a gal..i replaced cap bug plugs. took carb apart to check bowl on my holley 1940...all looks fine...someone mentiond that since i had to braze up some cracks in my ex manifold.. that lil flap in the manifold cold be sticking closed....any one know how these l6's run if that flap in the exaust sticks shut?
