Darn road salt

Thanks for the empathy/sympathy. This aggravates me because I just had to scrap my Escort for the same reason.
I'm still driving her, but hoping that someone in need of a transplant can keep her spirit going. I have driven this van into state forests with "seasonal" roads where the only other vehicles that would venture were full blown off road trucks. When questioned I would politely exclaim that she (why do we refer to them as "shes" ?) was an off road soccer mom van .

I'm afraid that may not be prudent. The frame has reached a point where it would take extensive work to make it safe. I have posted it in 4 sale hopin someone needs some 4WD parts or other stuff (price negotiable). Our unusually warm winter accelerated the damage. Very cold weather will slow the rate of oxidation. Apparently the most damage occurs when the temp rises and residual sale remains on your car or truck.
