I have never been a fan of the 40 cal ... has what is called the 40 cal "slap". The newer Glock 9 and 45 are both like soft butter in the hand, and interesting enough with the new ammo both the 9 and 45 and very close in ballistics.
Having researched the taurus judge, I am not impressed with what I have learned with the 410/45 colt from this weapon, unless one is looking for something to use for very, very close range only. Did look at it at Cabela's and was surprised how big it was for a handgun.
Just my two cents...
casey i have never noticed the 40 cal slap with my xd and i do know what you are talking about.
the judge would soley be for personal self defense and maybe some tree rat eradication lol

The "40 cal slap" is a reference to how the recoil is felt in the hand when firing the Glock ... this may be just inherent to the Glock. Having thousands of 40 cal rounds of experience through the Glock, and having transitioned to the Glock 9mm, the "slap" is gone (noticed the "slap" gone when testing the Glock 45 cal too).
For the self-defense, and tree rat hunting, the judge should be fine since all the work is up close.
i know the slap very well.. my brothers glock does it...i do want a glock for one reason....you can throw 30 round mags in them lol...othrwise i hate shooting blocks
The only gun i own is an airsoft gun i sort of "stole" from my brother... He left it here when he moved out and i sort of took it. I don't have any real use for a gun and would probably only shoot it for practice and keep it for self defense.

Gotta say my favorite rifle I have is the Red Ryder BB gun ... lots a fun and protection against Black Bart.
I had to wait until my wife got me the Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas:
Haha i love the movie. The closes i have gotten to a regular gun has to be either a paintball gun or pellet gun. My friend had a lot of them but my mom never let me play with any... Although i might not mind learning how to use a bow and arrow, i just don't have the money.
Morning Washington!! Take time this weekend to thank those who have served, currently serving, and those who gave their life for the red, white and blue!!
