My plan for the weekend is to relax an possibly do some cloths shopping. I need about 3 more pairs of shorts cause the last June 1st i leave for a week to NC to visit my dad and surprise him for his 50th birthday.
I got the top on the bronco yesterday during a spot of no rain. As soon as we got it seated it started raining so today i pulled back the top a bit to replace my clips, then i spend about an hour doing the bolts... Someone did major bondo work on the bedrails so 3 of the 8 bolt holes were covered over. But i got all the bolts i could in and it was a huge PITA... I ended up using my drill to drive the bolts in and it worked a lot better. I am happy now though cause i don't hear anymore creaking and groaning of the top moving. And it feels a lot safer with almost all the bolts now vs only 4.
Once more thing, anyone besides me planing to enter their vehicle into the Algona Days car show? Once i get the registration scanned i can upload it here. I already have the bronco entered in and i will also plan to drive in the parade.
Enjoy this time while you still can ... heck, I am much older than 50 and wish that I could go back and surprise my old man.
Gotta admit, I had to look up on Google maps to figure out where in the heck Algona was ... enjoy the weekend at the car show and parade.
Yeah i wish to spend more time with my dad but with my step mom there it is sort of hard... I don't want to be crude or anything but she is a bit controlling. My dad doesn't say anything when there is something that is obviously unfair, but you just gotta roll with it.
And yes Algona is a pretty small place haha, i hope to get some good pictures there, i will have to try to get there early to secure a spot and get ready for everything, i am still on the fence if i should clean the mud off or get it muddier. I am pretty sure the only trucks i will be up against will be garage queens or other "show" trucks... I certainly hope i am not the only old furd there or the only bronco. It would be awesome to see some fellow FTErs but i won't count on it. I know of one that lives near by in Algona but i don't think he even has a full license yet so we will see what goes down. It would be cool to get some sort of small banner that promotes FTE or something. Even if it is just something i hang from the bumper or whatever.

Looking forward to seeing some pictures. I think you can at least get a bumper sticker from FTE, or a t-shirt.
Q'ing, Casey??? Is that along the lines of some really nice,, smoked,, pulled pork???
Yup, Q'ing is slang some southern guys at work use for bbq'in. Over the last couple weeks have already done the pulled pork and then baby back ribs, this weekend not sure if doing chicken and/or salmon. Weather looks best on Saturday hitting 70 degrees.
It's a wonderful bright sunny morning here in the Great North Woods. Sun was up enough at 3:30 AM to drive without yer lights on. I bought my apprentice a tank of gas and he run on the north end. (over 100 miles one way) to my old scrap yard for parts for both the Bronco and Ranger. So my weekend is full tinkering on Rigs and digging out the camping gear. School is out in a couple of weeks and we plan to go live in the woods and find some Elk.
I hope I don't see Antler Boy and get Like Buck Fever.
